Our Executive Interim Management firm is supporting a large, national Belgian organisation with a strong societal footprint, active across multiple regions and undergoing significant transformation.
We are looking for an experienced Interim Team Lead to remotely manage and structure a national team of 12 Social Assistants, ensuring consistent, high-quality psychosocial support across the country.
The assignment
As Interim Team Lead, you will:
* Remotely lead, coach and federate a dispersed team of 12 Social Assistants
* Provide structure, governance and prioritisation across regions
* Ensure consistency of practices, approaches and solutions nationwide
* Act as a reference point for complex and sensitive cases (psychosocial risks, critical incidents)
* Translate strategic wellbeing and prevention policies into concrete, operational actions
* Coordinate closely with senior stakeholders in HR, prevention and management
* Support the organisation through change and transformation, reinforcing collaboration and engagement within the team
This is a highly visible role combining people leadership, operational coordination and strategic alignment in a complex, multi-site environment.
What we are looking for
Must‑have qualifications
* Proven experience leading and coaching professional teams at distance
* Background in psychosocial support, wellbeing, prevention or social services within a complex organisation
* Ability to handle sensitive, high‑stakes situations with discretion, emotional resilience and sound judgement
* Strong structuring, coordination and decision‑making skills
* Fluent in both French and Dutch (spoken and written)
* Comfortable working in a national role with remote coordination
Nice to have
* Experience in large, unionised or public‑interest organisations
* Experience standardising practices across multiple regions or entities
* Understanding of Belgian social and well-being legislation (including psychosocial risks, harassment, critical incidents)
