Job Description
As Freelance Finance Director, you will:
Act as senior counterpart to statutory and donor auditors ;
Ensure audit readiness and review financial statements and key judgments ;
Provide governance oversight across Accounting and Grant Finance ;
Identify and escalate finance, compliance, and control risks ;
Ensure alignment between Accounting, Grant Finance, and Business Control ;
Capture critical finance processes, risks, and institutional knowledge ;
The Successful Applicant
A successful Freelance Finance Director should have:
A strong background in finance, preferably within the not-for-profit industry ;
Proven expertise in financial strategy, planning, and compliance ;
Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting ;
Ability to provide strategic advice to stakeholders and senior management ;
Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and best practices ;
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team ;
