Your role
Are you curious about how the next generation of filtration technology can contribute to cleaner and more efficient medical gases? As a technology engineer filtration at Atlas Copco Group, you will lead the global R&D program for oil separation and oil coalescence within the Medical Gas Solutions Division. You will be part of a small, dynamic research team and report directly to Ken Goris, Team Leader Engineering, on-site at Wilrijk.
Your main responsibility as a technology engineer filtration is to develop and test new materials, filtration concepts, and technologies with a strong focus on performance and sustainability. You will conduct research, operate measurement equipment to analyze oil particles in compressed air systems, and lead your own research projects from concept to reporting. You will identify knowledge gaps, follow up on test plans, and build essential technical know-how that directly contributes to Atlas Copco Group's value. In this role, you will work hands-on in the lab while also analyzing results and preparing detailed reports.

* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Research Engineer
* Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Physical Engineering, Process Engineering, Process Systems Engineering, or a related field
* Practical and pragmatic approach with the ability to switch tasks quickly based on priorities
* Self-managing, organized, and able to work autonomously
* Excellent communication skills and fluent in English; basic knowledge of Dutch is a plus
