Your role
We are looking for an experienced “Head of Enterprise Applications” to lead our team in managing and improving enterprise-wide applications supporting core business processes like SAP ERP, Cloud Integration Plaform, VIM, Success Factors, iValua (S2P, P2P, Vendor Platform), and more. This position is part of the ICT Management Committee.
Your key responsibilities
As part of the John Cockerill Corporate ICT team, the Head of Enterprise Applications is responsible for managing and developing global enterprise solutions that actively support all internal processes across the organization’s various Business.
5. Strategic Leadership
The role involves driving the strategic direction and execution of major projects within the enterprise applications domain. This includes overseeing projects from the initial needs analysis stage through to deployment support, ensuring that technological choices are validated, and managing all aspects of technical design, production, and testing.
6. Solution Management, Enterprise Applications Architecture and Promotion
A key responsibility is to ensure the ongoing management and development of current solutions. The Head of Enterprise Applications will also promote the available solutions internally to maximize their adoption and effectiveness.
7. Team Supervision, Motivation and Development
This position includes supervising and motivating existing teams and fostering the growth and development of team members. The role also involves supporting the company’s multi-hub strategy by building a strong team in India to complement the resources based in Belgium.
8. Continuous Improvement
The Head of Enterprise Applications is expected to stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies. This ongoing awareness will help drive continuous improvement of the organization’s enterprise applications landscape.
9. Partnerships and Negotiation
The role includes identifying and implementing necessary partnerships; He is also responsible, together with the indirect procurement department, for selecting implementation partners and negotiating contracts and license agreements.
10. Budget Management
The Head of Enterprise Applications is responsible for managing the budget related to enterprise applications scope, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively to support strategic goals.
Your profile
Experience & technical skills
11. Master’s degree in IT or equivalent
12. Experience in managing enterprise applications, especially SAP for a minimum of 10 years
13. Experience with S/4HANA migration projects is a plus, given the upcoming migration project planned at John Cockerill
14. Team leadership in an international environment
15. Experience in hybrid deployment: Cloud, SaaS, on-premises solutions, complex integrations
16. Project/Program management skills
17. Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken)
18. Multi-country work experience
19. Experience with digital transformation initiatives is a plus
20. Experience in Data Analytics is a plus
21. Experience in Industrial environment is a plus
