Solution Architect
responsible for the modernization of a large, business-critical application. The assignment focuses on rewriting a legacy VB6 application to a modern architecture using C# (.NET) for the backend and Angular for the frontend, hosted on Microsoft Azure.
* You ensure that the architectural principles established within the eMigration program are adhered to, and you implement the Laurentide solution in line with the specifications of the architectural design document (SAD).
* You provide guidance to developers and monitor the compliance of both front-end and back-end applications.
* You define and oversee the data architecture for the project.
* You ensure documentation of the solution is completed by the development team.
* You lead stand-up meetings and assist the project manager in organizing sprints, including knowledge transfer to internal teams.
* You support the program manager in planning both back-end and front-end development, ensuring compliance with eMigration standards.
* You are responsible for migrating the Oracle database to the selected RDBMS solution (SQL Server) and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
What are we looking for?
* You have recent, proven experience as a
Solution Architect
in application modernization projects.
* You have expert-level experience with
C# / .NET
and modern back-end architectures.
* You have hands-on experience with
Microsoft Azure
, including
Azure DevOps

* You have strong experience with
SQL Server
and responsibility for database migrations.
* You have working experience with Angular in a solution architecture or technical lead context.
* You have experience integrating applications using APIs in distributed platforms.
* You have experience working in Agile delivery environments.
* You have experience with
containerization

Docker
and
AKS
.
* You have proven experience guiding and collaborating with development teams.
* You have knowledge of
asylum and migration procedures
and the related Belgian institutional context.
* You are fluent in
Dutch or French
.
Nice-to-Have
* Experience migrating legacy
