We’re looking for an experienced IT Team Lead to join our client’s technical delivery team. In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and coordination for a group working on mainframe COBOL applications and migration support, ensuring smooth execution, strong collaboration, and alignment with program objectives.
Responsibilities
* Supervising and coordinating a development team across the full software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, analysis, build, testing, and integration)
* Managing backlog prioritization and workload distribution
* Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and escalating issues through governance when needed
* Driving validation of functional and technical analyses, and ensuring effective testing follow-up
* Facilitating collaboration between the team, business stakeholders, and internal IT
* Ensuring clear documentation and smooth knowledge transfer
Profile & Skills
* Solid understanding of the full development lifecycle in onshore and offshore delivery contexts
* Hands-on experience with system integration and data migration projects
* Awareness of financial or regulatory environments (insurance background is a plus)
* Familiarity with project governance frameworks and backlog management
* Strong people leadership, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple activities
* Structured problem-solving skills and pragmatic decision-making
* Clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels
* Experience managing vendors or external contributors is an asset
