Fluxys Belgium, a company active in gas transport, is building a multi-molecule hub for a carbon-neutral future. We are preparing the ground to adapt our existing infrastructure and are working on our transport and storage processes for molecules other than natural gas.

, is looking for a
Pipelines Study Engineer
(m/f/x).
Job purpose
You will coordinate and perform study-activities for pipeline projects in order to complete these projects by the agreed deadlines and in accordance with legal requirements and the principles of quality, reliability and safety, while bearing in mind cost considerations.
Your responsibilities
* For assigned projects you will analyse needs, carry out feasibility studies or final studies, define the pipeline route and assess possible solutions (e.g. for river or infrastructure crossings)
* You will discuss and negotiate with the relevant stakeholders (local and regional authorities or customers). You will decide together with the project manager and Community Relations Department which of the alternatives to pursue
* You will coordinate internal and external soil analyses and studies and make available the plans and files required to obtain permits
* You will compile the project safety file and draw up the technical specifications (specifications, measurements, etc.) and bills of materials
* You will be the point of contact for any civil engineering expert matter on third-party work near our transmission grid at the request of the Grid Department
About you
* You hold a master's degree in civil or industrial engineering (specialising in construction)
* You have at least three to five years' experience, preferably linked to the implementation of civil engineering projects and/or the construction of pipelines, linear infrastructure or chemical/petrochemical facilities
* You are safety-conscious and familiar with OSH legislation. A VCA/SCC certificate or a level B safety coordinator qualification would be a plus
* You have a keen eye for detail and a focus on results, helping you to understand the different aspects of an industrial technical context in an integrated and holistic way
* It is very important that you have a structured working approach and good organisational skills, allowing you to take predetermined priorities into account
* You have a keen interest in the energy sector
* You have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to tailor your communication to suit the people you are dealing with
* You are able to work independently but have genuine team spirit enabling you to forge links between the various departments
* You are fluent in both Dutch and French and also have a good command of English
* You are also willing to travel frequently (within Belgium)
