Job Title: Trade Compliance Manager
This role is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the company's trade compliance are up to date and in line with relevant regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EU, UK, and local laws, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular checks and audits to identify gaps and take corrective action.
* Provide training and advice on compliance to ensure everyone understands the rules.
* Monitor changes to European regulations and update processes accordingly.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Serve as the main contact for regulatory bodies and ensure accurate reports and filings are submitted on time.
* Identify potential breaches of compliance and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
Requirements:
* A degree in business, law, finance or a related field (Master's preferred but not essential).
* Or demonstrable experience in compliance (5 yrs), regulatory affairs or a related field — ideally in Europe.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant regulations and how they apply in practice.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* A proven track record of creating and leading compliance programs in Europe.
* Relevant certification preferred (i.e. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional).
* Experience working with multiple entity 'Group' situations.
* Confident communication skills to report information concisely to senior management.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
