What will you be doing?
* Market Research: Conduct research to identify trends, acquisition targets, and partnership opportunities. Analyse competitor data and market conditions impacting transactions.
* Financial Analysis and valuation: Build financial models to evaluate performance and prospects of acquisition targets. Apply valuation methods such as DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transactions.
* Document preparation: Contribute to pitch books, Information Memorandums, and client presentations. Assist in drafting and reviewing key transaction documents (LOIs, term sheets, purchase agreements).
* Project management: Support due diligence by preparing datarooms. Coordinate meetings, manage timelines, and ensure smooth stakeholder alignment. Maintain documentation and update internal databases with deal details.
* Communication and collaboration: Liaise with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders for data gathering and information flow. Work closely with colleagues across practices to ensure integrated solutions.
* M&A activity monitoring: Prepare regular reports on ongoing M&A activity and closed deals. Analyse post-transaction outcomes to assess success and extract lessons for future projects.
What do you bring to the table?
* Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field; finance certifications (CFI, CFA, etc.) are a plus.
* Up to 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting or professional services.
* Excellent command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French and/or German is a strong asset.
* Strong foundations in accounting, valuation methodologies, and M&A processes.
* Advanced Excel skills with expertise in corporate finance applications.
* Proficient in PowerPoint for creating impactful reports
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
