The Sales Manager, Industrial Instruments (South LAM) will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share across Brazil and South Cone countries for Vaisala’s Industrial Instruments portfolio. This role focuses on key industries such as data centers, life sciences, food & beverage, automotive, and other measurement‑intensive industrial sectors. You will lead new business development, grow existing accounts, develop OEM business, and strengthen our distributor network. This position is ideal for a self‑driven sales professional with strong technical acumen and experience in industrial environments who is comfortable working in an international organization.
What’s Your Role?
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets, while expanding Vaisala’s presence and installed base across the territory.
* Proactively identify, target, and acquire new customers in key industries (data centers, life sciences, food & beverage, automotive, and other measurement‑intensive industries) within the South LAM region.
* Identify and develop OEM opportunities, building long‑term partnerships where Vaisala’s Industrial Instruments are integrated into customers’ equipment and solutions.
* Work closely with existing distributors to strengthen their sales and technical capabilities, and actively support the identification, recruitment, and onboarding of new partners, in collaboration with the Channel Partner Manager.
* Deliver impactful technical and commercial presentations, demos, and training to customers, partners, and associations, clearly articulating the value of Vaisala’s Industrial Instruments.
* Oversee the entire sales process from lead qualification to closing deals, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Utilize Salesforce to track sales activities and customer interactions.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders (local and international), including product management, marketing, customer service, and field service, to align sales efforts with company objectives and secure customer satisfaction.
* Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in target industries, and provide structured feedback to support portfolio and strategy development.
What Will You Bring?
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, or related field).
* 5–10 years of experience in technical sales within industrial markets, ideally selling instrumentation, sensors, automation, or related solutions to process or manufacturing industries.
* Proven track record of developing new business and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
* Experience managing distributors or partners and building a structured partner network; OEM business development experience is a strong plus.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and management‑level stakeholders.
* High level of autonomy and self‑management, able to prioritize opportunities and manage a large territory.
* Availability to travel frequently across Brazil and South Cone countries, as required by the business.
* Fluent Portuguese and fluent English (written and spoken) are mandatory; Spanish language skills are a strong plus.
* Experience and discipline using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
* Residency in São Paulo – SP or surrounding areas, with availability for a hybrid work model (the office is in Vila Olimpia, São Paulo).
