Orise Manufacturing AI (formerly: Yazzoom) is a team of skilled AI/ML software specialists based in Ghent, Belgium, and part of the Digital Business Unit of the global automation, digitalization, and consultancy powerhouse Orise.
We specialize in delivering AI‐driven research and software solutions that help our customers optimize their production processes. Alongside our custom AI and computer vision projects, we've developed Orise Digital AI, a cutting‐edge software tool for anomaly detection and predictive analytics on machine‐generated data.
Your responsibilities
Apply your data science expertise and Orise Digital AI algorithms to real‐world industrial or IoT data: pre‐processing, cleaning, training, and evaluating anomaly detection and predictive models in Jupyter notebooks or in the UI of Orise Digital AI.
Communicate results to clients, gather feedback, and refine your work accordingly.
Enhance algorithms in our scalable big‐data platform for AI‐based anomaly detection and predictive modeling.
Develop and implement AI/ML solutions for various data types (time‐series, tabular, etc.).
Create proofs of concept in notebooks and integrate algorithms into customer workflows, including training and support.
Interface with diverse data sources via connector pipelines (SQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka, REST APIs, etc.).
Tune algorithms and data pipelines for optimal performance when required.
Your profile
Proficiency in Python and its data science stack (pandas, scikit‐learn, Jupyter, Luigi, etc.).
Strong knowledge of data mining and machine learning; experience with optimization algorithms is a plus.
A passion for writing clean, maintainable, and robust code.
A bachelor's or master's degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Bioengineering, Physics, or a related field.
Fluency in English or Dutch (spoken and written).
Bonus skills: familiarity with Kafka, Elastic, Grafana, or Linux scripting.
A drive to learn and apply new technologies to solve real‐world problems, with an interest in industrial production processes.
A driver's license and flexibility for occasional travel within Belgium and internationally.

Where are we located?
The main location and base for this job is our office at Moutstraat 88, Gent (optionally one day per week working from home) – about 10 minutes from the Sint‐Pieters train station by bike, and a few minutes from the E17 motorway. Occasional travel to our customers is required: usually half or one day visits, and rarely several days in a row.
