An established project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Civils Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of early works packages on a major construction project. This role is critical in establishing the platform for vertical construction, encompassing the planning, coordination and execution of building pads, site-wide utilities and foundation systems.
The successful candidate will bring a strong civil and infrastructure background, with proven experience leading complex enabling works in fast-paced, technically demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of early civil works, including underground services, building pads, site-wide utilities (power, water, drainage, etc.) and structural foundations
* Coordinate and participate in design reviews, ensuring construction documentation reflects site conditions, buildability and programme requirements
* Manage and oversee subcontractors and suppliers delivering early works packages, maintaining alignment with programme, budget, quality and safety expectations
* Interface with other package leads (CSA, MEP, BIM and others) to ensure a smooth transition from early works into main construction activities
* Monitor progress against key milestones and provide accurate reporting to senior construction and project controls teams
* Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, health and safety standards, and client specifications
* Contribute to risk reviews, method statement assessments and installation inspections
* Collaborate with design consultants and client representatives to resolve technical, sequencing and logistical challenges
* Support ground investigations, testing regimes and verification of installed works through commissioning and handover phases
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
* Minimum of 8 years’ experience delivering civil and infrastructure works on large-scale construction projects
* Strong technical knowledge of underground services, earthworks, utilities, drainage, groundworks and structural foundations
* Demonstrated leadership of early works or enabling works packages on data centre, pharmaceutical or industrial developments
* Solid understanding of construction sequencing and interfaces across civil, structural and MEP disciplines
* Familiarity with European construction standards, codes and permitting processes
* Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while driving high standards of safety, quality and productivity
