In our Parenterals & Liquids Development (PLD) department we are seeking an Experienced Scientist to design, lead, and execute formulation and process development for state‑of‑the‑art parenteral and liquid drug products.
Job Description
As an Experienced Formulation Scientist you will:
* Design and optimize pre‑clinical to commercial formulation and process development for parenteral and liquid dosage forms, including solutions, suspensions, liposomes, microspheres, biodegradable rods, drug‑device combinations, and other advanced delivery platforms.
* Apply best practices in characterization, validation, scale‑up, technology transfer, and GMP, SHE, and internal regulatory compliance within electronic lab notebooks and data systems.
* Analyze scientific literature, patent landscape and identify innovation and IP opportunities to create patient‑centric solutions.
* Serve as PLD functional representative on multidisciplinary project teams, liaising with Analytical Development, Pharmaceutical & Material Sciences, Engineering, Quality, Legal, Supply Chain and external CDMOs.
* Prepare development reports, regulatory submission materials, master batch records and responses to health authority queries, and perform criticality analysis for control strategy definition.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
* Demonstrated expertise in parenteral and/or liquid formulation and process development for synthetic molecules, with a strong grasp of physical pharmacy principles.
* Background in advanced drug delivery technologies (biodegradable microspheres, injectable rods, gels, drug‑device combinations) is advantageous.
* Strong innovation mindset, critical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and excellent oral/written communication.
* Proficiency with modern digital tools and data management systems to support data integrity and knowledge sharing.
* Hands‑on laboratory experience with accurate and safe experimental execution.
