As a Senior Portfolio Manager (Freelance), you'll lead the implementation of a new Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) tool, shaping the way projects are managed and delivered across a complex, high-impact roadmap. This is a freelance assignment based in Liège, running for 13 months, where your expertise will directly influence the success of a strategic transformation program spanning over 100 projects.Why This Role MattersThis is not just another PMO role. Your work will empower the Transformation department to:Drive customer-centricity and innovationDevelop human capital and foster a culture of excellenceGuarantee security and compliance across all initiativesEnable the successful delivery of a multi-year, multi-project transformation roadmapCentralize, consolidate, and communicate project data for maximum impactKey ResponsibilitiesAct as the subject matter expert for the implementation of a new PPMO tool, from needs definition to deploymentCollaborate with stakeholders to formalize requirements and translate them into actionable solutionsParticipate in the development, configuration, and integration of the PPMO tool with existing systems (notably Jira)Monitor and drive the implementation process, ensuring milestones are met and value is deliveredPropose and implement improvements to project portfolio management and project management practicesJoin the PMO team to support operational management of the project portfolioSupport, prioritize, and manage interdependencies across projectsConsolidate and centralize project information, including budgets, resources, and deadlinesReport on project portfolio status and communicate transformation progress to stakeholdersDefine and refine project governance, processes, methodologies, and toolsEnsure compliance and support project sponsors and project managersTechnical Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience in project management, with a strong track record in portfolio management (6+ years preferred)Proven expertise in setting up and implementing PMO toolsHands-on experience with Jira and Microsoft ProjectAdvanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and documentation toolsExperience working within a DSO (Distribution System Operator) environment is a plusLanguage ProficiencyFrench: C2 level (full professional proficiency required)Other RequirementsExceptional communication and writing skillsDemonstrated ability to drive change, propose solutions, and deliver measurable impactBuilder mindset: ownership, initiative, and a passion for shaping the future of project deliveryExperience in transformation, digitalization, or large-scale change programs is highly valuedAssignment DetailsFreelance positionDuration: 13 months (03/11/2025 – 31/12/2026)Location: LiègeAssignment type: Time & MaterialReady to build the future?
