Brunel is looking for a project in Leuven for a Project Manager experienced in implementing an ISO 27001-compliant ISMS.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the ISO 27001 program end-to-end: from gap analysis and roadmap definition to certification support and continuous compliance.
You will work closely with IT, security, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure information security controls are effectively designed, implemented, and embedded across the organization.
ISO 27001 Program Management
Define and manage program scope, milestones, timelines, and dependencies
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Conduct or coordinate gap analyses, risk assessments, and maturity assessments
NIS2, DORA, GDPR, internal security policies)
Stakeholder & Change Management
Support control owners in implementing, operating, and evidencing security controls
Promote awareness and adoption of information security practices across teams
Track non‑conformities, corrective actions, and management actions to ensure timely closure
Prepare management reporting and support periodic management reviews
You'll work 2–3 days on-site in Leuven, Mechelen or Brussels, the remaining days working remotely.
You are an experienced information security or compliance program manager with strong, hands‑on ISO/IEC 27001 expertise.
You excel at leading cross‑functional initiatives, collaborating effectively with auditors and regulators, and navigating complex, highly regulated environments.
Proven experience in security, risk, or compliance program management
Strong understanding of ISMS concepts (risk management, Annex A controls, internal audits)
You communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
