A large organization operating in a complex IT environment, delivering business‑critical applications that support core operations and digital services. The organization is strengthening its IT department and is looking for a Java Developer to contribute to application development, maintenance, and continuous improvement in close collaboration with business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to and validate functional analyses and technical specifications
* Develop, adapt, and maintain Java‑based applications in line with development standards
* Perform code reviews, testing activities, and support release management
* Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions
* Support business users and collaborate with IT teams throughout the application lifecycle
Qualifications and Skills
* Degree in IT or equivalent experience
* Strong expertise in Java (7/8/11/17) and Spring, with solid backend development skills
* Experience with SQL Server, application servers, and integration technologies (REST, SOAP)
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins)
* Knowledge of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and secure coding
* Fluent in English and either Dutch or French
