As a Business Transformation Manager – Value Stream Manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end strategy, performance, and transformation of a L2 value stream such as Plan to Produce, Plan to Purchase, Forecast to Plan, Promise to Order, Order to Cash, Item to Product, … You lead the cross-functional, global orchestration of all associated L2 and L3 processes within your value stream, integrating strategy, people, process, data, and systems. Your mission is to deliver measurable business value through process excellence, digital enablement, and change adoption. You report directly to the Head of Business Transformation for your value stream (Forecast to Stock, Offer to Cash or Item to Market), and work in close alignment with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Data Owners, and the Transformation Office and lead and develop a group a Business Process Owners.
Your role and responsibilities
1. End-to-end accountability for a sub Value Stream with global and cross-functional reach.
2. Partnering with Process Owners (L2) to align process design and transformation initiatives.
3. Responsible for defining the value stream roadmap, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring value realization.
4. Operates as a strategic integrator across IT, data, business, and change teams.
5. As Business Transformation Manager you take ownership of Value Stream performance and lead the identification and definition of targeted improvement initiatives.
Your Key Result Areas and Core Activities:
1. Value Stream Strategy & Vision
6. Define and maintain the strategic vision, capability model, and transformation roadmap for the L2 value stream.
7. Ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and the strategic direction set by the Head of Business Transformation.
8. Translate business strategy into executable, integrated transformation programs.
2. End-to-End Transformation Leadership
9. Lead transformation programs and digital initiatives across the value stream.
10. Ensure integration of L2 and L3 processes, systems, and data into a seamless E2E design.
11. Act as escalation point and decision-maker for cross-functional transformation issues.
12. Collaborate with IT and Enterprise Architecture to define target system landscapes and digital enablers.
3. Change Management & Stakeholder Leadership
13. Drive change readiness, adoption, Impact assessment and engagement across global and regional business teams.
14. Partner with Change, Communications, and Training teams to enable sustained behavioral and process change.
15. Act as a trusted advisor and transformation coach to business leaders across functions, building the bridge between transformation initiatives and business stakeholders
16. Communicate progress, risks, and value realization clearly to senior stakeholders.
4. Process Governance & Performance
17. Chair value stream governance boards and steer key decisions on standards, prioritization, and conflicts.
18. Oversee the measurement of Value Stream KPIs, compliance indicators, and performance metrics.
19. Ensure process maturity improvement and harmonization across business units.
20. Drive transparency by establishing a robust understanding of the as-is process landscape.
5. Capability Building & Leadership
21. Guide and develop a high-performing global team of Process Owners, Analysts, and Business Transformation Managers.
22. Champion a continuous improvement and process excellence mindset.
23. Foster collaboration across organizational silos to remove friction and unlock value.
How to succeed / Your profile
24. Master’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, or related field.
25. 10+ years of experience in business transformation, process excellence, or operational leadership.
26. Deep experience leading global cross-functional transformation programs with measurable business outcomes.
27. Background in value stream design, process architecture, ERP/IT integration, and digital enablement.
28. Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, global organization.
29. Strong capabilities in strategy execution, change leadership, and enterprise design thinking.
30. High proficiency in transformation methodologies and process tools (e.g., LeanIX, Jira).
31. Advanced stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
32. Experience in governance, performance management, and program delivery.
