Under broad supervision, you will reconcile and adjust general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. You may also perform moderately complex analyses of performance results. In addition, you will compile, consolidate, and analyze accounting and finance information for financial statements and reports and perform other special projects as assigned.
How you will contribute
You will:
1. Support accounting and external reporting activities including accurate and timely U.S. GAAP reporting and timeliness and integrity of statutory financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, fixed assets, restructuring and intercompany charges. As required, you will support activities performed by Mondelēz International Business Services/third-party service providers during month/quarter /year-end close, statistical reporting and statutory audit
2. Contribute to strong controls and compliance environment and comply with Mondelēz International’s AER policies. Support audit activities and provide information on auditors' request
3. Perform moderately complex analysis of performance results as requested
4. Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement. You will also identify ways of working in your area of responsibility
5. Contribute to a high-performing Accounting and External Reporting (AER) team. Invest in personal development and contribute to the overall development of peers and the AER team
What you will bring

6. TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting including understanding U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems (SAP experience preferred). Knowledge in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting
7. BUSINESS ACUMEN and experience working in FMCG/CPG Industry or Big Four accounting preferred
8. LEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering and communication skills. Experience working as a finance leader managing cross-functional and business partner teams to drive timely and accurate results
9. GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and financial system knowledge
10. INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values, policies and external regulations
More about this role
What you need to know about this position:
As part of the local AER team you will :
11. classify, examine, and analyse accounting records ( US GAAP / BE GAAP / NL GAAP )
12. prepare financial reports and statements
13. perform special projects as assigned.
14. support other accounting and external reporting activities.
15. be one of the local AER contact for all departments in the Benelux locations.
16. be one of the local AER contact for external tax administrations.
17. be responsible for all payroll related activities within AER
Education / Certifications:
Job specific requirements:
18. Support accounting and external reporting activities including accurate and timely U.S. GAAP reporting and timeliness and integrity of statutory financial reporting ( BE GAAP / NL GAAP), balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, restructuring and intercompany charges. You will also support activities performed by Mondelēz International Business Services/third-party service providers (coordination both with Genpact & Accenture) during month/quarter/year-end close, statistical reporting and statutory audit (Ernst & young / PWC ). Support the local AER lead with the analysis of the local results mainly linked to the payroll accounting.
19. Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment and comply with Mondelēz International’s AER policies. You will also support audit activities and provide information at an auditor’s request. Scope is both during internal audits & external audits, tax, transfer price & vat audits and the annual PWC audits.
20. You are the local AER contact for all departments to support in compliance and other audits

AP role
24. Key contact person and link between the Local Mdlz organization, AP Mdlz CoE and Accenture.
25. Escalation process: support the Local organization on the AP issues (Po´s, GRIR, vendor debit balances, Accounting Leasing) and the Accenture AP team on the open items resolution, PO debit balances and incorrect AP postings.
26. Validate/propose the vendors clearings, PO clearings, MR11
27. Provision of any SAP basic transaction training to the Local Mdlz organization
28. Collaborate with shared service centers
29. Business partner for internal and external service providers (, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, US GAAP reporting and Overheads, preparation statutory accounts).
30. Digitalization
31. Using the digital competencies to simplify and automatize the processes and wow.
