Role Overview:
The Engineering Work Specifier plays a key role in planning, specifying, and preparing engineering work orders and calls to ensure timely and efficient execution. This position is responsible for developing preventive maintenance plans, managing small engineering projects, and ensuring compliance with EHS and regulatory standards. The role also oversees engineering documentation and engineering warehouse operations to support smooth site operations in Tienen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Define and prepare maintenance and equipment work orders, including technical specifications, drawings, and instructions.
2. Coordinate planning and execution with technicians, ensuring compliance with EHS and Huntsman standards.
3. Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans for assets, ensuring detailed scope and efficient scheduling. Update maintenance records.
4. Manage small engineering and safety-related projects using project management methodology.
5. Perform quality checks on engineering processes and systems and maintain/comply with high quality standards.
6. Oversee engineering warehouse operations, including stock control and ordering and maintain accurate equipment files.
7. Propose continuous improvement and support on different subjects: energy saving, operational improvement, safety measures, etc.
8. Provide troubleshooting support during urgent repairs, ensuring safe and efficient resolution.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for an individual with experience in supporting engineering work.
9. Technical bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
10. Minimum 5 years in a similar role with broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
11. High safety standards and thoroughness are essential.
12. Ownership of work and proactive communication with internal stakeholders are key success factors.
Skills:
13. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
14. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
15. Proficiency in engineering software; basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
Languages: Dutch and English (written and spoken).
