🎯 Assignments
We are looking for a Hardware Qualification Engineer for one of our clients in the nuclear engineering sector.
Your main responsibilities include:
* Supporting utilities in the identification and replacement of obsolete components.
* Managing supplier relationships to evaluate alternative technical solutions.
* Researching and validating substitute products while ensuring compliance with nuclear safety requirements.
* Drafting technical specifications and procurement files for instrumentation equipment.
* Participating in factory acceptance tests and reviewing manufacturer documentation.
* Leading the qualification process of instrumentation equipment in accordance with nuclear standards.
* Preparing qualification programs, managing test laboratories, and following up on test execution.
* Drafting qualification reports and presenting results to the Client and Nuclear Safety Authority.
* Conducting technical audits of suppliers in Belgium and abroad.
👤 The profile
Background
Master's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering (E-I&C).
Must Have
* Open to Starters (<1 year), Juniors (<3 years), or Medior profiles (3–6 years) with experience in an engineering or industrial environment.
* Strong analytical and organizational mindset with a focus on technical rigor.
* Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
* Excellent communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
* Proactive and autonomous, capable of handling unforeseen situations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
Nice to Have
* Familiarity with nuclear qualification standards or experience in the nuclear sector.
* Knowledge of Dutch.
* Experience in supplier management or technical audits.
