Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for high-end service? Courtyard by Marriott Ghent is looking for a Meeting & Event Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our brand-new, state-of-the-art Scala Event Center, located within our hotel hub.
What will your role involve?
1. You are the first point of contact for guests during events, meetings, and dinners, ensuring the "Marriott touch" in every interaction.
2. You manage the team of waiters and ensure efficient collaboration.
3. You maintain an overview during peak times and respond quickly to unexpected situations, ensuring the flawless execution of every event.
4. You ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the event spaces.
5. You coordinate with our kitchen, bar, and other teams for seamless service.
Who are we looking for?
6. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership or coordinating role within the hospitality or event industry.
7. You are stress-resistant, organized, and thrive in the dynamic environment of a global hotel brand.
8. You are flexible – willing to work shifts between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., including weekends and public holidays.
9. You are a born communicator who motivates colleagues and exceeds guest expectations.
10. You have strong communication skills and speak fluent Dutch or English (additional languages are a plus!).
11. You are looking for a full-time (38h) or at least 4/5 employment.
