Job Description
We are hiring a Social Media Marketing Manager to lead the social media strategy for an e-commerce client with a strong presence in Hong Kong. This is a newly created role, offering an exciting opportunity to shape and strengthen the client's online presence in the HK market.Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Servicing
Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring smooth communication and project delivery.
Lead weekly strategy calls with the client's Hong Kong team to review campaign performance and upcoming initiatives.
Social Media Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement social media strategies tailored to the Hong Kong market.
Create a quarterly content calendar for Instagram and Xiaohongshu (XHS) focusing on seasonal promotions and trending topics.
Platform Management
Manage and optimise content across Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Xiaohongshu (XHS).
Launch an Instagram Reels campaign to showcase new product arrivals and engage younger audiences.
Content Planning & Coordination
Work with in-house designers and copywriters to produce visually appealing and culturally relevant content.
Brief the design team on creating carousel posts for Facebook highlighting product bundles for festive seasons.
Community Engagement
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries to build a loyal online community.
Organise "Q&A Live Session" on Instagram to interact with followers and boost engagement.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Track KPIs such as engagement rate, follower growth, and conversion metrics.
Prepare monthly reports with actionable insights to improve campaign ROI.
SEO/SEM & Media Buying (Bonus Skill)
If experienced, assist in optimizing paid campaigns and search visibility.
Collaborate with the media buying team to run targeted ads for Hong Kong audiences during major shopping festivals.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Social Media Manager Should Have
6-8 years of experience in social media marketing and account management.
Proven expertise in Chinese social media platforms and strategies.
Strong background in account servicing and client management
prior work experience from Digital Marketing agencies is a plus
Fluent in English, Cantonese & Mandarin; experience serving Chinese clients is essential.
Familiarity with the Hong Kong market and its social media landscape.
Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in content strategy and planning.
Knowledge of SEO/SEM and media buying is advantageous
