You will be part of the management team, acting as a trusted legal sparring partner while ensuring that legal frameworks support the organisation’s development.In practice, the role includes:Strategic legal advice & management supportOwnership of Legal & Compliance governanceContract management & negotiationsPublic-sector & regulatory context (nice to have / strong asset)External counsel & disputesLegal enablement & operationsYOUR PROFILEMaster’s degree in Law.Minimum 5 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel, with a strong contract practice and stakeholder management exposure.Ability to combine legal rigour with pragmatism and translate complexity into actionable decisions.Comfortable taking ownership, prioritising autonomously and working in a multi-stakeholder environment.Fluent in Dutch (French and/or English is a plus).Affinity with or experience in data, IT, security or regulated digital environments.Experience in or exposure to public-sector or governmental contexts.Knowledge of public procurement legislation.WHAT OUR CLIENT OFFERSA senior in-house role withint he management team with real ownership and strategic visibility.A hybrid working model with a presence in Ghent required twice a week.A competitive salary package including bonus, mobility budget, benefits and insurance coverage.Flexible working hours, remote work possibilities and a strong focus on work-life balance.
