About the Job
The MSAT Technical Sciences Group within the Recombinant DS Global Platform function owns life‑cycle management of commercial manufacturing processes. We drive life‑cycle initiatives, support tech transfer, and provide commercial manufacturing support both internally and at CMOs. The portfolio covers 17 products, 5 modalities, 3 expression systems across 12 global sites in the US and EU. We will support the launch of 20 new products in the next 5 years, including monoclonal and multi‑specific antibodies, fusion proteins, and antibody‑drug conjugates.
We prioritize environmental sustainability, pursuing innovations such as digital labs and advanced analytics‑based process understanding and control. This role will lead and execute strategic sustainability initiatives that foster a culture of environmental stewardship in pharmaceutical development.
Main Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of MSAT process engineers.
Ensure technical support for commercial products manufactured at CMOs.
Oversee manufacturing operations at CMOs and communicate with technical product teams.
Review manufacturing processes, critical deviations, and development and production data.
Provide technical support and data analysis for investigations and critical deviation resolution.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency using Sanofi digital tools.
Collaborate with colleagues and CMOs from Engineering, External Manufacturing, and External Quality groups.
Report on overall manufacturing robustness and relevant KPIs.
About You
Main Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field with 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
Proven experience in biologics commercial manufacturing, MSAT, or process development.
Strong experience with external manufacturing partners/CMOs.
Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Requirements
Expertise in cell culture and/or downstream purification.
Deep understanding of GMP, process validation, and equipment qualification.
Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessment, and process troubleshooting.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and statistical software.
Background in eco‑design, sustainability programs, or digital transformation is a plus.
Project leadership experience, including cross‑functional collaboration at global level.
