Imagine joining a multidisciplinary team that designs the next generation of vacuum pumps powering semiconductor fabs, life-saving medical devices and renewable-energy projects. From day one you help turn ideas into robust, high-tech machines that make a tangible difference around the globe
In this position you take full ownership of projects, steering them from concept through validation and final implementation. You evaluate new vacuum technologies for both technical merit and commercial viability, while working hand-in-hand with software specialists to embed data-driven control algorithms that boost performance and reliability. You mine real-time pump data to uncover improvement opportunities, translate customer requirements into concrete design decisions in close dialogue with marketing, production, service, purchasing and suppliers, and you actively expand our patent portfolio. Alongside the lab you bring prototypes to life and help raise the team’s collective know-how in mechatronics, embedded software, sensing and control
To succeed, you will need

1. You have a Master’s degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
2. You are passionate about mechatronics, software, technology, and innovation, and motivated to keep learning and growing
3. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and approach challenges creatively and pragmatically
4. You are fluent in English and have solid computer skills (e.g. MS Office, MATLAB, Python, CAD...)
5. You are a proactive team player with excellent communication skills, ideally with some experience in mechatronics and/or software developmen
