Medior / Senior Business Consultant Energy & Utilities

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Medior or Senior GIS Consultant to deliver consulting services to a leading Utilities customer in Wallonia. This role is highly client‐facing and requires a strong mix of technical GIS expertise, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate business needs into practical geospatial solutions. You will work on‐site with the client, supporting their operational and transformation initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted GIS consultant to business and technical stakeholdersRun workshops, gather requirements, and advise on best‐practice geospatial solutionsDesign, configure, and optimise GIS applications used across the utilities environmentDevelop and manage spatial datasets related to network assets and infrastructureSupport system integrations between GIS and enterprise platforms (e.g., asset management, field mobility, work orders)Troubleshoot GIS issues and provide hands‐on expertise to end‐users and project teamsDeliver documentation, prepare presentations, and guide the client through solution adoptionContribute to roadmap discussions, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Experience3–7+ years of experience in GIS consulting or GIS project deliveryStrong experience with ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise) or similar GIS toolingSolid knowledge of spatial data modelling, geoprocessing, and geodatabases (PostGIS, GDB, etc.)Experience within the utilities sector (gas, electric, water) is strongly preferredAbility to translate business needs into technical GIS solutionsExperience working directly with customers in a consulting or advisory capacityFamiliarity with Python, FME, or scripting for GIS automation (especially for senior roles)Excellent communication skills; ability to engage stakeholders confidently in French
