Job Description
This internship offers rare end-to-end exposure to European B2B SaaS M&A transactions, working directly with the Head of M&A. During this internship, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of software investing covering the entire deal process from deal sourcing, evaluating investment opportunities, supporting the investment decision making process, guiding due diligence workstreams and identify value creation plans.
Anchr is a house of software companies backed by Strada Partners. We are building a collection of leading B2B SaaS business across Europe, organised around six domains. Those domains are Government, Commerce, Legal & GRC, Finance, Construction and Oracle. Today our group employs over 350 people and serves over 2,000 customers. What can you expect?
* Gaining hands-on experience in the full range of software M&A transactions:
-Pro-active sourcing of potential investment opportunities through desktop research
-Evaluating inbound deal flow
-Supporting the investment decision making process through due diligence support, reference calls, market research, preparation of materials, etc.
* Active participation throughout a transaction lifecycle, from origination calls, through management meeting and price negotiations until investment decisions.
* Getting exposure to a fast-paced learning environment including financial analysis, building and reviewing SaaS operating models and valuation analyses (LBO) in Excel, investment memo drafting in Word etc.
* Working directly with and reporting to the head of M&A, while working closely with Anchr portfolio CEOs and Strada Partners' investment team.
* Working from a fun environment in Mechelen, but investing across Europe
What do we offer you?
* Location: Mechelen / Antwerp. Some occasional travel might be required A few days (2 max) of homeworking is possible.
* Duration: 6 months minimum
* Start date: As from March 2026, with later starting dates on a rolling basis
* Compensation: competitive internship compensation
The process consists of four rounds:
* CV screening
* Initial interview with HR
* Online tests
* Business case combined with a fit interview
Job requirements
What are we looking for?
Your technical skills
* Financial literacy with solid Microsoft Office skills (in particular Excel)
* Prior 6 months internship experience in investment banking, strategy consulting or PE is a plus
Your soft skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative-driven and curious
* Strong interest in SaaS businesses
* Excellent problem solving & communication skills
* Down-to-earth
Your degree
* First-class business, economics, science or engineering degree
Your language skills
* Fluent in Dutch and English
