Sales Manager

Are you eager to work in a family atmosphere and an internationally technical, challenging, no-nonsense work environment?

You are responsible for sales to very important clients. This includes building and maintaining a relationship of trust with our customers, as well as developing new business by expanding the customer base. You provide input to the organization regarding commercial direction. You follow up on files and support various teams organizationally.

Our clients are mainly governments, where you secure contracts through tenders. Key markets are Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Germany, and Eastern Europe.

Job-Related Competencies

CUSTOMER RETENTION

* Draw up the forecast (sales plan) of the sales targets to be achieved in order to contribute to the realization of the company's turnover.
* Set up short- and long-term plans and goals.
* Develop concrete actions and objectives to achieve the targets.
* Maintain and further develop existing commercial contacts with crucial key clients to build a long-term relationship and thus achieve the set turnover.
* Negotiate and conclude large, preferably long-term contracts to offer and obtain attractive prices and conditions for both the client and the organization.
* Coordinate activities and initiate possible actions towards strategic clients to reach and bind clients efficiently and effectively.
* Monitor developments with your clients to respond to all factors that may influence future business transactions.
* Act as a signaler to your hierarchical superior based on experience, market knowledge, and information gathered in the field, to enable decision-makers to respond optimally to new developments.
* Analyze the market regarding products and competitors.
* Provide feedback and reporting on visits/conference meetings.
* You are responsible for the entire sales process (strategy, discussions, order handling, aftercare).
* You work solution-oriented.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

* Conduct research and analyses in markets and sectors in which the organization is active to detect potential commercial opportunities.
* Contact potential clients to further expand the customer portfolio.
* Design, develop, and plan actions to commercialize new products and/or services and to penetrate new markets or regions, thus stimulating sales and contributing to the realization of organizational objectives.
* Establish and maintain contacts with existing and potential clients to further deepen commercial relationships or build strategic alliances.
* Maintain good contacts with policymakers within the sector and with external experts in the industry and government to anticipate changes or new developments and trends within the sector at any time.
* Keep up with market developments.

Personal Competencies

·

You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

·

Experience in textiles and/or with tenders is a must.

·

Experience working with governments is an asset.

·

You have a sense of responsibility and initiative and possess strategic insight.

·

You are a born negotiator and can persuade and close deals effectively.

·

You can communicate fluently in Dutch, French, English, and German.

·

International sales experience is a must.

·

You are an administrative all-rounder.

·

You are empathetic, discreet, and diplomatic.

·

You have a positive attitude and are a real team player.

·

You have good knowledge of the Office suite.
