Senior Advisor – Finance Strategy & Performance
Finance/Business Controlling Team is looking for a consultant to join the Team in Brussels.
The consultant will have 2 main missions :
1) be responsible for the entire Belgium Mobile budget/forecast/3YP building and follow up
2) responsible of updating, challenging, simplifying and automating the cross charging mechanism which is used to re invoice shared costs between operators so that each pays its fair share, based on agreed allocation rules
This team is mainly responsible for the following activities:
• Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and the 3 year plan (P&L, Capex, Cash) in collaboration with business leadership and analysis of the various outlooks
• Manage the monthly closing process and year end landing, in close collaboration with Accounting, ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and compliance of financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data, proactively identifying variances versus financial targets and recommending corrective actions to senior management.
• Communicate financial insights to management by driving management and operational reporting, dashboards, and analyses of financial issues impacting organizational performance, to support informed decision making.
• Project management: participate as a financial expert in strategic and transversal projects initiated by Management, Finance, and Operational departments.
• Business case supervision: own and drive all business cases related to Belgium Mobile perimeter
• Continuous improvement: challenge the status quo and identify efficiency gains through cost savings, quality improvements, and more effective ways of working (e.g. tools and automation).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Drive the evolution, simplification, and automation of the cross charging mechanism in line with RAN agreement principles
• Take ownership of critical initiatives where relevant.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from the CFO or Management.
Within this team, the consultant will primarily focus on the two missions described above, while contributing to the broader Finance/Business Controlling activities as required
He will be critical in challenging the business tasks, matching business requests with the financial constraints and finding reasonable trade-off proposals to submit to the Executive Committee. The role involves coordinating with, questioning/challenging the Business and the Finance Business partners to ensure the Business meets its short- & long-term financial objectives.
This position will give him a true helicopter view of strategic decisions at high level and provides an opportunity to influence these decisions.
Your profile:
Hard skills
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in Finance, Business Controlling, or Management Consulting, preferably in complex or matrix environments.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management (P&L, Capex, Cash).
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to translate operational drivers into financial KPIs and actionable insights.
• Experience in process improvement, automation, and simplification within Finance (e.g. cross charging, reporting, planning tools).
• Project and process management experience in finance consulting, audit, or transformation programs is a strong asset.
• Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint, with strong expertise in financial modeling, reporting, and dashboards.
• Familiarity with ERP and financial reporting systems; Telco industry experience is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; French and/or Dutch is a strong asset.
