What you'll do
* Define and drive Replika’s long-term technology vision, aligning it with our mission and business goals.
* Develop and maintain a technical roadmap that guarantees continuous innovation and scalability.
* Oversee the integration of AI, NLP, LLM, and deep learning technologies into our platform.
* Champion R&D initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous experimentation and learning.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team, rapidly scaling as we grow.
* Set and enforce best practices in software development, system architecture, and data security.
* Work closely with product, design, and business teams to translate user needs into effective technical solutions.
* Act as the primary spokesperson for Replika’s technology vision, engaging with stakeholders, partners, and investors.
* Ensure that our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure to rapidly grow.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, keeping Replika at the forefront of innovation.
Technical skills
* Proven leadership experience in senior tech roles (CTO, VP of Engineering, etc.) at tech companies, preferably in AI, machine learning, or consumer tech.
* Track record of turning big tech ideas into scalable, user-first products.
* Expertise in building scalable systems, cloud computing, and using AI/NLP/LLM frameworks.
* Experience driving innovation through research and R&D initiatives.
* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent real-world experience).
* Strategic thinker with operational and execution skills.
* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
* Thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and knows how to lead a culture of excellence.
Nice to have
* Experience in scaling AI-driven platforms and conversational technologies.
* Background in startup environments or rapidly evolving tech companies.
* Proven ability to build and mentor world-class engineering teams.
