The person coordinates EU projects and proposals relevant for the Mobility Governance Unit objectives .

RESPONSIBILITIES The Manager:
Leadsknowledgeandresearch projects inPublic Transport that balance theneedsof the sector andthe associationandexpectations of otherurban mobilitystakeholders;
Ensuresthatknowledgeelaborationandresearchoutputactivities contributestoaddedvalueservicestothedirectbenefitsofmembers,
Activelyleadsandmanagesthird-partyfundedprojectson promoting the use of sustainable urban mobility solutions
Coordinates the activities of the partners in the UPPER Project, ensuring the timely delivery of the Grant Agreement activities by all partners, represent the project in meetings with CINEA, DG MOVE, DG RTD, and in relevant conferences and events
Reviews and checks the quality of the deliverables produced in the UPPER project, ensuring the visibility of the project through various media and dedicated activities
Coordinates andprepares third-party fundedproject proposals (e.g.Horizon Europe);
Liaises withEUinstitutionsrelated toR&Iactivities (e.g.DGRTD,DGMOVE, etc.);
Supportsandcontributes to otherUITPknowledgeservices when activities are requiringinputonrelative topics (e.g.events,trainings);
Participatestoglobal sector events, conferencesto present projects’or UITP work and represent UITP inplatforms andfora;
Supports theHeadof Unitandcooperate with theothermanagers fromincluding budget in theMobility Governanceand Project Delivery units;
Contributes totheUITPgovernanceforthe activities under his/her responsibilities including thedefinitionofthe UITP work-programme,budgetandcapacity plan,incoherencewith theIntegrated Global Workplanoftheassociation;
Fulfilshis/her missionaccording totheinternalculture basedon UITP values. thecodeofconduct,andontheprinciples ofcaring management.Inteamorproject management,thisimpliesprovidingthecolleagues employees withguidance,leadershipandsupport,ensuring theirdevelopmentandwell being,whilebeingresponsible forenforcingcorporatepolicies andproceduresstandards.
Experience (5 years) in coordination/ management of third-party funded projects (e.g.EU service contracts or Horizon Europe funded projects) is fundamental for this position
Proficiencyof the technical content
Willingness to contributing to other UITP activities such as membership development,trainingand advocacy
Leadership, consensus-building and diplomatic skills to conciliate different interests and needs of the project members, public transport sector and UITP members,thereforeto contribute to UITP’s and sector’s strategies.
Goodorganisationalskills and structured way of working.Pro-activeand problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work flexibly, autonomously and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Stress-resistant and ability to work under pressure.
Readiness to travel.

Additional Information Position is based in Brussels.
Salary range (to comply with salary transparency policy): band 22, salary based on competences and experience.
Range : min 3.500 euros gross/m – mid 4.500 euros – max 5.200 euros gross/m + benefits (lunch vouchers, public transport reimbursement, laptop and mobile phone, group insurances, health care and hospitalization insurances, collective bonus based on policy)
