As an Associate Scientist, you will provide analytical support for new molecular entities, including both small molecules and emerging modalities such as peptides, conjugates, and oligonucleotides.
You will contribute to the characterisation of Reference Standards and support analytical method development and validation activities across the portfolio, ensuring high-quality data generation for GMP environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform analytical testing in support of Reference Standard characterisation, with a focus on:
* Liquid Chromatography (LC)
* Ion Chromatography (IC)
* Gas Chromatography (GC – headspace and liquid injection)
* Develop and optimise fit-for-purpose analytical methods (LC/IC/GC) to ensure accurate purity determination and low-level reporting thresholds
* Support product and process characterisation, including:
* Method development and validation
* Release testing and stability studies
* Evaluate and interpret analytical data in a scientific and critical manner
* Ensure compliance with GMP, safety regulations, and relevant analytical guidelines
* Maintain high standards for data integrity and documentation
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry or related field
* Strong hands-on experience with chromatography techniques (LC, IC and/or GC)
* Familiarity with chromatography data systems (CDS), such as Empower and/or OpenLab
* Basic knowledge of cGMP regulations (practical experience is a plus)
* Interest in or willingness to develop additional analytical skills (e.g. titration, water determination)
* High level of accuracy and ownership in experimental work
* Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
* Strong team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken
