What You'll DoTake full ownership of general ledger accounting for one or more Belgian entitiesLead month-end and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and efficiencyPrepare financial statements in line with BE GAAPManage VAT filings and statutory compliance, including fintech-specific and digital services considerationsAct as the key contact for auditors and tax advisorsSupport budgeting and forecasting, partnering with finance and business stakeholdersDrive process improvements, automation, and internal controlsContribute to ERP and financial systems optimization (integrations with billing, payments, and subscription platforms)Deliver financial insights and performance analysis to support strategic decisionsSupport and enhance revenue recognition processes, particularly within SaaS and subscription-based models
What You BringBachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics5+ years of experience, ideally in fintech, tech, SaaS, or a fast-growing international environmentStrong knowledge of BE GAAP (IFRS is a plus)Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Exact)Solid understanding of revenue recognition, especially in subscription-based environmentsFluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)A hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work independentlyStrong analytical skills and attention to detail
