About the Role We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Finance Director to lead and oversee all financial operations for our business across Europe and India. Based in Belgium, this role reports directly to the Global CFO (based in the United States) and maintains a close collaboration with the EU Management team, making you a key member of the extended global finance leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of financial leadership across international markets, a deep understanding of compliance, and the ability to drive operational excellence and team development in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment. This is a full-time position on an open-ended contract (CDI) for 39 hours per week, with the flexibility of homeworking. The place of work is located at our office in Leuven with a hybrid work arrangement. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a high-performing regional finance team across all functions, including supporting the business, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, AP/AR, Reporting & Analysis. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes for Europe and India, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Act as a strategic business partner to regional and global leadership, providing sharp financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Manage regional cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and internal controls, including managing external audits. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and contribute to the implementation and optimization of ERP and other financial systems across the region. Experience Required experience Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with regional or international scope. Proven experience managing multi-country finance operations, preferably across Europe and India. Experience working in a matrixed, global organization, preferably one headquartered in the United States. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse, cross-functional teams across different geographies. Nice to have Knowledge of additional European languages is a plus. Educational requirement: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
