Mission
As Mechanical Engineer, you will design mechanical parts and assemblies in 3D CAD for our client's Business Units. You will transform R&D requirements into manufacturable mechanical designs through detailed 3D modeling, engineering analysis, and comprehensive technical documentation. You will collaborate closely with R&D and mechanical experts to deliver high-quality designs that meet functional, manufacturing, and assembly requirements.
Challenges we trust you with
· Translate R&D requirements into mechanical designs: Receive design inputs from R&D and transform these requirements into detailed mechanical solutions
· Create 3D models and assemblies: Consolidate all physical and geometric constraints into multi-part designs using 3D CAD software, carefully studying part fixation and interfaces between components
· Participate to design reviews with R&D and senior mechanical team members for validation and refinement
· Produce detailed 2D drawings: Once designs are validated, generate precise 2D technical drawings for each part with proper norms and specifications
· Create assembly documentation: Develop assembly drawings and hierarchical Bill of Materials (BOM) organized by sub-assemblies in Teamcenter
· Design for manufacturability: Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly
· Submit design to thermal and/or stress check: with FEA tools, visualize strength and weakness of the assembly and improve it to reach the specification
· Identify technical risks and communicate on advantages and disadvantages of the solution you propose, propose mitigations
You have:
· Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanics
· Strong experience with mechanical parts and assemblies engineering. Field experience is a strong plus.
· Experience with 3D CAD software for part and assembly design (NX Siemens is a plus)
· Ability to create detailed 2D technical drawings with proper standards, norms, and specifications
· Familiarity with Teamcenter is a plus for BOM management and design data organization
· Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting
· Fluent in French and English
And you also are:
· Team-oriented: You thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively with R&D, manufacturing, and senior engineers
· Able to organize your work autonomously and take initiatives
· Rigorous and meticulous in your daily work and its documentation
· Curious and inquisitive: You ask questions to fully understand requirements and seek continuous learning to improve your designs
· Humble: You welcome feedback during design reviews and learn from senior team members
· Detail-oriented: You ensure accuracy in drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
· Pragmatic problem-solver: You balance technical excellence with practical manufacturing constraints
· Quality-focused: You take pride in delivering designs that meet functional requirements and manufacturing standards
