Urban Design Intern

About Caobo StudioCaobo Studio is an urban development and design studio working at the intersection of urban design, ESG strategy, stakeholder engagement, and real estate strategy. We support public and private stakeholders in shaping sustainable, future-proof urban environments, with a strong focus on mixed-use developments and complex urban sites .To support our growing activities, Caobo Studio is looking for an Urban Design Intern with a strong interest in sustainable urban development, spatial strategy, and real-world planning projects .

Your roleYou will work closely with the management team and actively contribute to ongoing and future projects. Depending on project needs, your tasks may include:Urban planning & spatial strategyAssisting with site analysis, mapping, spatial documentation, planning regulations, and urban policiesSupporting feasibility studies and development potential assessmentsContributing to reflections on density, mobility, public space, and mixed-use integrationHelping develop spatial concepts, planning notes, and strategic presentationsResearch & analysisConducting research on urban trends, sustainability, mobility, and urban transformationSupporting benchmarking and best-practice analysesVisual reportingSupporting the production of visual materials (plans, diagrams, illustrations, vision images)Assisting with presentations and report layoutsStakeholder engagementAssisting in dialogue and coordination with public authorities, planners, consultants, and local communitiesHelp in the organisation and facilitation of stakeholder meetings and workshopsSupport placemaking and participation processes

Your profileCurrently pursuing a degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related fieldStrong interest in urban development and placemaking processesGood graphic and visual communication skillsAnalytical and structured mindsetComfortable working with urban regulations, plans, and researchGood communication skills in English (French and/or Dutch are a plus)Proactive, curious, and eager to learn

Software skillsSketchUpAdobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesignAutoCADGIS (basic knowledge is a plus)
