Chocolate Academy Chef GERMAN SPEAKING MARKET – Barry Callebaut Group
Located in Wieze, Belgium, this role supports the Head of Chocolate Academy in promoting the Callebaut brand across German‑speaking markets. The position focuses on delivering customer sessions, offering technical expertise, developing products, and providing training, with an emphasis on strengthening the brand in Germany while contributing to global initiatives. It includes approximately 50% travel, roughly 2 weeks per month in the DACH region.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the customer journey by developing concepts based on industrial customer briefs.
* Guarantee flawless execution of Inspirational and Co‑Creation days for all customer typologies.
* Showcase relevant product portfolio through inspiring creations.
* Present concepts at customer sites, partner kitchens, or the Academy.
* Create and develop new product applications per segment in coordination with Marketing, including photo and video shoots.
* Ensure local development of global brands by identifying appropriate initiatives to support sales growth.
* Support national fairs and events in Germany alongside marketing and sales managers.
* Act as a local influencer within the Callebaut chef community and national chef community, maintaining connections with the German and Austrian Ambassador network.
* Monitor Chocolate Academy activity using dedicated tools (Salesforce and CMR).
About You
* Degree in Culinary School (confectionery and pastry; ice cream a plus).
* Degree in Food Technology or Gastronomy Science is a plus.
* Deep knowledge of pastry and confectionery techniques across all customer typologies (food manufacturing, chains, key accounts, instore bakeries, global accounts).
* Degustation and food pairing skills.
* Knowledge of B2B market and production organization for pastry businesses, pastry shops, hotels, restaurants, and chocolate shops.
* Strong communication and public speaking skills.
* Experience working in a multicultural, international environment.
* Strong business acumen.
* Excellent organization and anticipation skills.
* Fluent English and German, both spoken and written, are required.
