SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an Internal Audit specialist to temporarily reinforce the internal audit team.
ROLES AND RESPOSIBILIIES:
* As an Internal Auditor, you will have a versatile and influential role with following responsibilities
* Review the company's operational, IT and financial processes to ensure they are satisfactory in terms of internal control, effectiveness and efficiency.
* Execute the audit plan: Prepare, plan and execute audit assignments, validate findings and establish recommendations.
* When executing audit assignments, apply the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the client Internal Audit Charter and Methodology
* Check that processes comply with the governance principles applicable within the company and with external laws and regulations.
* Translate audit observations into clear, effective reports and language tailored for senior and executive management audiences. Present the audit results at the various levels concerned.
* Periodically monitor the execution of action plans agreed with the audited departments.
* Leverage the GRC software to gather and exchange information efficiently with action owners and other control functions, including Internal Audit and Risk & Compliance teams in both Belgium and Germany.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in internal audit in multinational environments and/ or Big4 companies giving you a solid understanding of planning and executing internal audits.
* The ability to draw conclusions and make effective recommendations out of all information gathered.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* The ability to work independently as well as in (cross-functional) teams.
* A pragmatic and hands-on approach.
* Knowledge of the electricity sector is a plus as well as a CIA certification.
* Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required.
