About the Role
We are partnering with a dynamic and growing organization operating within the financial services and fintech sector, headquartered in Brussels.
As the business continues to scale and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment, they are looking to appoint a Financial Manager with a strong accounting background to lead core finance activities and support strategic decision-making.
This role sits at the intersection of accounting, controlling, and business partnering, offering high visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings across multiple entities
* Ensure accurate financial reporting under BE GAAP and IFRS
* Lead and develop a small accounting team
* Act as the main point of contact for auditors, regulators, and external advisors
* Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
* Monitor financial performance and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
* Strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks
* Support systems and process improvements, including ERP and reporting tools
* Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, risk, and compliance teams
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
* Minimum 7–10 years of experience, starting in accounting (Big 4 or similar is a strong plus)
* Proven experience in financial reporting and team leadership
* Strong knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS
* Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments is highly desirable
* Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Hands-on mindset with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
