A rapidly growing, well-capitalized specialty insurance platform is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead M&A sourcing efforts across the U.S. MGA market.
This is a unique opportunity to build and own the acquisition pipeline for a firm experiencing significant growth and backed by institutional capital. The organization provides a centralized platform supporting entrepreneurial underwriting teams with capital, technology, product expansion, and operational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a national pipeline of MGA acquisition and partnership opportunities
* Build relationships with MGA owners, program administrators, and industry intermediaries
* Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to generate deal flow
* Conduct initial evaluation of potential targets, including business mix, scale, and profitability
* Partner closely with executive leadership to advance qualified opportunities
Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to specialty/E&S markets
* Strong network within MGA, wholesale, or specialty insurance sectors
* Ability to build trust with business owners and navigate long-cycle relationships
* Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate in a high-growth environment
