Medior Electrical Engineer – Hasselt
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, coach and manage a small multidisciplinary project team of engineers and draughtsmen for your projects.
* Ensure compliance with budget, schedule, and quality of engineering works; oversee that assigned projects are executed in accordance with our quality system and HSE rules.
* Report weekly on the progress of all your projects.
* Actively participate in the electrical design of your projects, including:
o Evaluating the most suitable technical solutions.
o Conducting feasibility studies, determining design principles and detailed engineering.
o Preparing cost estimates.
* Respond to client wishes and needs.
* Create and submit quotes and contracts.
* Stay updated on standards, guidelines, and new technologies within your field and share knowledge with team members and colleagues.
* Collaborate constructively with colleagues, external partners (such as architects, other design and engineering firms, contractors during the execution phase, etc.) and clients.
* Maintain an international mindset and collaborate with our overseas offices for specific engineering tasks; take necessary actions to ensure required quality.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design.
* Excellent knowledge of architecture, building construction, and technical installations in buildings.
* Excellent proficiency in Dutch and English at a high level; French is a plus.
Personality & Skills
* Strong analytical skills.
* Excellent team player who strives to meet client expectations.
* Knowledge of:
o High‑voltage systems.
o Low‑voltage systems: power supply/cabling/electrical schematics/(protection) lighting/flash protection/etc.
o Very low‑voltage systems (fire detection/CCTV/access control/…) and site security experience.
* Familiarity with calculation and simulation software (Dialux‑EVO, ElecCalc, Caneco, ETAP).
* Knowledge of AutoCAD (plus).
* Knowledge of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Stabicad, etc.) (plus).
* Proficient with MS Office.
* Capable of working independently and efficiently to achieve both personal and overall objectives.
* Dynamic with excellent communication skills.
* Flexible and well organized.
* Able to collaborate remotely within a team spread across three locations in Belgium.
