Boost ADAS validation by virtualizing real‑world driving on HiL benches—optimize camera‑based system performance, automate testing, and accelerate next‑generation safety innovation.
Team & Responsibilities
Within the Electronics division, the ADAS group oversees the development and evaluation of future ADAS functions focusing on customer comfort and safety. Sensors include camera, radar, and ultrasonic devices.
Project Tasks
* Analyse current ADAS function evaluation procedures
* Research state‑of‑the‑art procedures and toolchains for ADAS evaluation
* Set up new equipment and prototypes for camera recognition performance assessment
* Develop new procedures and toolchains to increase test automation
Qualifications
* Fluent in English (TME’s business language)
* Enrolled in a master’s program in computer science (embedded software), electronics engineering, or automotive engineering
* Demonstrated programming skills (Python, C++, Matlab/Simulink) [MUST]
* Experience with simulation software for virtual testing (e.g., IPG Carmaker, dSpace, CARLA) [NICE TO HAVE]
* Proficiency in automotive camera sensor technologies and/or computer vision (OpenCV) and machine learning [NICE TO HAVE]
* Understanding of software V‑cycle, especially V&V and validation processes
* Strong interest in automotive and electronics systems
Project Details
Starting date: September 2025
Duration: 6 months
Internship applicants must be students for the entire period.
Only students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (no work permit required) are eligible.
