Job Brief – QA/QC Officer
Positioning in the company
The QA/QC Officer works under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager.
The function combines operational quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) support, with a daily presence in production. The role requires a very hands-on, rigorous and field-oriented approach.
Main Duties – Quality Control (QC)
Carry out in-process controls : raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
Carry out sampling, visual, organoleptic or physico-chemical tests according to the control plans.
Verify consistent alignment with internal and customer product specifications .
Monitor CCPs/CPs and other critical parameters in production.
Identify, record and track QC non-conformities, propose immediate actions and work with production to resolve them.
Carry out acceptance checks and decide on the acceptance or rejection of raw materials according to established criteria.
Checking cleanliness, hygiene, GHP and GMP compliance daily via field rounds.
Ensure the accuracy of QC records and their compliance with procedures.
Additional tasks – Quality Assurance (QA)
Participate in the updating of quality documents: procedures, instructions, forms.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, BPH, IFS standards.
Record and follow up on quality complaints, collaborate in the analysis of causes.
Support the drafting and updating of production sheets and work instructions.
Participate in internal and external audits, provide necessary evidence and documents.
Assist in the training of staff in good practices and hygiene.
Contribute to the management of traceability, raw material and product specifications.
Manage samples for external analysis and follow up on results.
Participate in Food Defense/Food Fraud activities and the annual recall test.
Responsibilities
Carry out all QC checks reliably and autonomously according to internal procedures.
Ensure the accuracy of QC records, readings and results transmitted to the Quality Manager.
Ensure early detection of deviations and propose immediate corrective actions.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and hygiene practices.
Support the Quality Manager in the preparation of audits, revisits and official inspections.
Collaborate in the analysis of non-conformities and the follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
