Mechanical Project Engineer – Offshore Energy Projects – English required – ALTEN Belgium
The Role
As part of our continuous growth, ALTEN Belgium is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to support large-scale offshore energy infrastructure projects in Belgium.
You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team and support the delivery of AC offshore substations, focusing on the engineering and execution of mechanical systems. You will contribute to design review, testing, and construction support activities to ensure technical quality and project readiness.
Your Responsibilities
* Support the mechanical engineering scope for offshore substations
* Review and validate technical documentation
* Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
* Provide engineering support to construction and installation teams
* Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, quality, HSE, contracting, and PMO teams
Technical Scope (Mechanical Systems)
* Firefighting systems
* HVAC systems
* Cranes and lifting equipment
* Water and utility systems
Your Profile
* Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in EPC or large industrial projects
* Experience in the offshore sector is a strong asset
* Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Structured, independent, and precise working style
* Proactive mindset and fast learner
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Languages
* English: fluent professional level (required)
* Dutch: asset
