What you will do
Building green ventures as a team, your role will be to:
* Identify & validate foreign cleantech solutions, partners & spot new opportunities in our domains
* Negotiate & sign partnerships with foreign cleantech partners
* Develop a local go-to-market strategy outlining the venture’s launch
* Score the first customer(s) through solid sales efforts
* Develop a financial plan (5 year & 12 months) including debt/equity/subsidy mechanisms
* Build clear & comprehensive pitch-decks to onboard the necessary stakeholders such as the cleantech partners, investors, advisors & the investment committee(s)
* Hire leadership teams through extensive recruitment interviews & onboarding
* Support the leadership team of our ventures within some core company functions during the launch such as business development, operations setup, CFO-as-a-service, HR, etc.
What you will bring to the table
We seek an experienced (co-)founder who has exited a business and is looking to join as business partner, with compensation primarily based on equity.
We are basically looking for a Swiss-army knife, but then one that comes in a green color.
You are passionate about:
* Sustainability
* Startups/Scale-ups
You bring experience in:
* Experienced (co-)founder who has successfully exited your business
* Experience & expertise in the sector of buildings & construction
* Experience and technical expertise in one of the following domains: Energy Transition, Circular Economy, Bio-sourcing,
You have following competences:
* Communication skills – excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
* Interpersonal skills – demonstrated ability to easily engage and build rapport with people from various backgrounds & cultures
* Positive attitude – a naturally upbeat and positive demeanor that contributes to a welcoming and enjoyable environment
* Team player – strong ability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting and encouraging peers
* Project management – experience in managing large & small projects in a professional way
* Initiating & pro-active – hands’ on mentality and a pro-active “flow to the work” attitude
* Complex problem solving – abilities as well as the capacity to deeply analyze complex cases
* Vigor & decisiveness – taking decisions implying unknown personal & financial consequences
* Sales – vision & ability to bring a compelling message & communicate it to diverse audiences
* Stress tolerance – comfortable with uncertainty & risk that is inherent to venture building
* Languages – Flemish is a must (target market is Flanders) & English
