Field Service Engineer – Engineering | Diegem, Belgium Contract: April 2026 – Dec 2026+ (100% FTE, high extension potential)
Location : Diegem, Belgium (80% field travel across Europe, 20% office/remote, BE-based candidates preferred)
Role SummaryMotivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to install, service and repair advanced 3D cardiac mapping and electrophysiology systems. Manage your service territory independently (Diegem + Europe), resolve technical issues onsite/remotely, and build strong customer relationships in clinical environments.Support new product launch across EMEA region during peak rollout phase.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, upgrade, maintain and repair sophisticated medical systems used in electrophysiology proceduresIndependent territory management : Plan/prioritize weekly activities across Belgium + Europe (Western/Eastern Europe, Scandinavia)Diagnose & resolve equipment malfunctions using standard test equipment (digital multimeter, safety tester)Customer satisfaction : Regular performance reviews, complaint analysis, continuous improvement initiativesExtensive travel (80% field-based, short notice flexibility required)Documentation : Accurate service records in Service Management SystemEscalation : Communicate technical risks/opportunities to managementSafety/quality : Strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards
Team : Join 3-person Belgian team supporting massive EMEA territory during new equipment launch ramp-up. 5 weeks paid training provided on systems, databases and processes.
Qualifications~ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering~2+ years field service experience (medical device industry preferred)~ Hands-on troubleshooting with test equipment (multimeter, safety tester)~ Fluent English (written/spoken required); French fluency = strong advantage~ Valid EU driver's license~ Physical capability : Lift/move equipment up to 35kg, frequent standing/bending~ Flexible availability : 80% travel, irregular hours including weekends/off-hours when needed~ Customer-facing : Strong communication for clinical/hospital environments
