Junior CyberArk Engineer – Freelance 6 Months Rolling - Hybrid Working Brussels
CBSbutler are working with a Cyber Security start up, who are looking for a Junior CyberArk Engineer to join on a 6 month rolling freelance engagement, starting ASAP ideally but they can wait for notice periods.
Despite their small size, they provide blue teaming and privileged access management services for the Belgian Government, as well as ODC Noord, ASML and a number of other top Benelux enterprises.
This will be a hybrid working role, with the working location being in Brussels. They are offering up to €425 per day depending on experience. If you're not interested but know someone who would be, we do pay referral fees for successful referrals!
What you'll do:
* Assist in the administration and support of the CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform, including Vault, CPM, PSM, and PVWA components
* Help onboard privileged accounts, servers, applications, and users into the CyberArk vault
* Manage safes, access policies, credentials rotation, and password management workflows
* Support session monitoring, recording, and playback via PSM for compliance and auditing
* Perform basic troubleshooting, health checks, and monitoring of the CyberArk environment
* Assist with integrating CyberArk with target systems (Windows, Linux/Unix, databases, cloud platforms like Azure/AWS)
* Collaborate with senior team members on privileged access reviews, policy enforcement, and remediation of identified risks
* Contribute to documentation, reporting, and basic configuration changes to improve security posture
Skills & experience:
* Some hands on experience or strong interest in Privileged Access Management (PAM), ideally with basic CyberArk knowledge or similar tools (e.g. BeyondTrust, Delinea, Okta, Hashicorp etc)
* Basic understanding of privileged accounts, credential management, least privilege principles, and session monitoring
* Familiarity with operating systems (Windows and/or Linux/Unix administration basics)
* Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, networking fundamentals, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus)
* Eagerness to learn CyberArk components and best practices; any exposure to CyberArk certifications (e.g. Defender, Sentry) or training is highly advantageous
* Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and good communication skills for team collaboration and documentation
