Your new role As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the architecture of mission-critical systems. Your main tasks include: Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify and document high-level requirements Translating operational needs into a scalable, future-proof system architecture aligned with the roadmap Creating architecture and high-level design documentation Supporting development teams throughout the software development lifecycle Ensuring consistency across components with a focus on safety, security, and maintainability Leading workshops and technical discussions to validate architectural decisions Your profile We are looking for an experienced professional with: Professional fluency in English, plus proficiency in Dutch and/or French A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Solid background in software architecture and requirement analysis Proficiency in data modeling and design tools (e.g., UML ) Experience in UI application design and software implementation Knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and security principles Strong communication skills and ability to moderate workshops under tight deadlines Familiarity with safety-critical systems or signaling technology is a plus What you'll get in return Competitive salary aligned with the Belgian labor market.
