We are cuurently searching for an experienced MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER to support offshore projects for a client in the energy sector.

Responsibilities
For the substations, the project currently progresses both in the detailed design phase and the fabrication phase of the steel Modules. A substantial volume of documentation must be reviewed in preparation for the outfitting phase.
As Project Engineer Mechanical, you will support and report to the AC Substation Package Manager and work within a multidisciplinary engineering team consisting of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation & SCADA engineers, and quality, HSE, contracting, and PMO experts.
Together with another mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for all mechanical systems within the AC substations, including but not limited to:
1. Firefighting systems
2. HVA/C systems
3. Cranes and lifting equipment
4. Water systems
Your tasks include (non-exhaustive):
5. Reviewing technical documentation
6. Participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
7. Providing engineering support to construction teams
Additional information:
8. 3 days a week in Brussels, 2 days home working possible
9. Occasional short business trips (FAT, site visits, remote meetings, etc.)
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:-
10. Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience within EPC projectsExperience in the offshore sector is a plus
11. Education: Electromechanical/Electrical Engineer
12. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
13. Structured, independent and precise working style
14. Fast learner with a proactive mindset
15. Excellent MS Office skills
16. Residence in Belgium preferred
17. Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
