First Line Manager

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ROLE

As a First Line Manager within our Distribution Center, you play a pivotal role in keeping our operations moving. You lead and inspire a team within a specific department or shift, ensuring smooth daily execution, operational excellence and a safe, engaging environment. You take ownership of planning, performance, compliance and continuous improvement, making sure your team is empowered to deliver their very best.

HOW DO YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

What will you do:

1. Lead, coach and motivate your team to achieve strong performance and growth.

2. Plan resources and organize daily operations to meet productivity, quality and service goals.

3. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and all health & safety standards.

4. Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Foster a positive, inclusive and safe work environment built on trust and accountability.

How will you do this:

6. By setting clear objectives and KPIs and guiding your team through regular feedback and development conversations.

7. By staying close to the operation, adjusting priorities based on workflow and business needs.

8. By championing a safety‑first culture and ensuring full compliance through audits and follow‑up.

9. By using performance data to make informed decisions and implement corrective actions where needed.

10. By remaining flexible and adaptable, working across rotating shifts and peak moments.

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS

16. Experience in supervising teams within logistics, warehousing or distribution

17. Strong organizational and planning skills

18. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

19. The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities

20. Strong understanding of health & safety standards

21. Fluency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
